It is located 9 Km from Arequipa downtown (20 min by car). Sabandia is nice town sorrounded by a green countryside. There are incas terraces and a lot of natural springs. This is the place to enjoy fresh air, good weather, warm sun and to contemplate this ancient mill.
Sabandia mill was built on 1785 and it is still working. We can see the techniques used to mill weath using stone mills. The weath flour industry is one of the most important in this town since ancient times.
The building is characterized by its solid buttress and rustic balconies. This is a historic building that reminds ancient times living way and the ingenious work from the people that lived in this town.
